Hi, my name is Portia and I am a 20 single mother. I have a 3 month old son named Isaiah. I am trying to attend Paul Mitchelle cosmetology school now but I dont have the money for the down payment. I will need around 1,000 to start, maybe less. I did go to school in Tallahassee but i left when I got pregnant and my boyfriend left me. My mother is in prison and my father is a drug addict and i live with my grandparents who are on social security. I got in trouble with my x boyfriend and I.m currently on house arrest and I really want to change my life for myself and my son. I am having a hard time finding a job because I have a felony but when I complete probation it will be gone. I want to attend thid school more than anything in the world and I have already spoke to the women there and she really wants me to attend but I just dont have the funds. I can get a student loan but i need the down payment. Does anyone know where i may be able to get help so that i can start thid school and better my life. im willing to do anything. i live in lake wales florida and i will help anyone if they need house work or a aby sitter.
